Okay, nothing much to say or to inform (suprise2, there's no information AT ALL, hehehehe). ow ow, before i forget the example of this topic is this,

'Are you really your parents' child? check your blood type now!'

Ronnie posted this, if you havent read it, check it out, it might help

see ya,

Ways to prevent pregnancy

Hey guyss, now i'm gonna tell some information from my biology class that might be useful for ur sexual life ....
it's about Birth Control !!

firstly, birth control used to prevent fertilization to interrupt pregnancy at various stages and there are many ways to prevent pregnancy, but not all of them are succeed .

For women :
- pills  = contain hormones (estrogen, progesteron, steroids ) and this pills consume everyday
- morning after pills = it is a high dosage of a birth control pills and contain hormones. it consume after copulation

- Injection
-Tubectomy = surgical procedure done on women as a permanent method of contraception

For men :
- condoms = it's a device  to reduce the probability of pregnancy and spreading sexual transmitted diseases

- coitus interruptus = pull-out method, is the practice of ending sexual intercourse ("pulling out") before ejaculation

- vasectomy = surgical procedure for male sterilization or permanent birth control

So , if you want to prevent pregnancy , you can use all of these methods but remember that all of these methods are not completely succeed to prevent pregnancy. Therefore, if u're having sex which is not legal (means unmarried) please be carefull coz it may cause ur tummy getting bigger !!!

Are you really your parents' child? check your blood type now!

Blood type A has 2 groups: IAIA and IAIO.
Blood type B has 2 groups: IBIB and IBIO.
Blood type AB has 1 group: IAIB.
Blood type O has 1 group: IOIO.

example is my family blood type.

I believe my Dad has IBIO group and my Mom has IOIO because I have blood type B (IBIO), and I have a sister who has the O (IOIO).

So,,, based on the genotype ratio, The ratio between
IBIO : IOIO  = 1 : 1
Based on this, I could believe that I'm their real son. lol.

Another Example: if a Man which has the blood type of IAIB is married to a Woman which has the blood type of IOIO. Is it possible for them to have a child with the blood type of IOIO

THE ANSWER IS NO! WHY?
                  IA          IB
     IO           IAIO      IBIO
     IO          IAIO      IBIO

The genotype of this alele = IAIO : IBIO = 1 : 1 ... the child(ren) they would have will only has/have the blood type A or B !

New Chapter

Hey, people!
How are you? This is me again, Lady!

Last Friday we started our new chapter on biology class. Well, it's about human reproductive system and I found out that, this chapter is kinda interesting because it's related our body and I'm so interested with anything that have connection with our body! Hoho, but........ Some of my classmates like, ummm, yeah, you know what I mean -_- especially for the boys.

And, from this topic, I just knew that........ Female menstrual is caused by the wall of endometrium that breaks down and that's the reason why for the girls, we feel pain almost in every month.

Furthermore,There is also hormone called estrogen. Let's find out more about this hormone!

Estrogen is a hormone that comprises a group of compounds, including estrone, estradioland estriol. It is the main sex hormone in women and is essential to the menstrual cycle. Although estrogen exists in men as well as women, it is found in higher amounts in women, especially those capable of reproducing.
Estrogen contributes to the development of secondary sex characteristics, which are the defining differences between men and women that don’t relate to the reproductive system. In women, these characteristics include breasts, a widened pelvis, and increased amounts of body fat in the buttock, thigh and hip region. Estrogen also contributes to the fact that women have less facial hair and smoother skin then men.
Estrogen is an essential part of a woman’s reproductive process. It regulates the menstrual cycle and prepares the uterus for pregnancy by enriching and thickening the endometrium. Two hormones, the luteinizing hormone (LH) and the follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), help to control how the body produces estrogen in women who ovulate.
Estrogen is manufactured mostly in the ovaries, by developing egg follicles. In addition, estrogen is produced by the corpus luteum in the ovary, as well as by the placenta. The liver, breasts and adrenal glands may also contribute to estrogen production, although in smaller quantities.
source http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-estrogen.htm

Have you experienced premenstrual syndrome (PMS)? It's because your estrogen hormones decrease!
And....
During the lesson last week, I just realized how difficult the struggle of a woman to get a descent: (
So, to all people out there, DON'T ever throwing away your children....
.

.
Anyway, happy fasting to all moslems in the world! :D

Additional Info

Hi ya, actually I got this information from my slide, and i thought why dont i share with you guys. here
'1,000,000 primary oocytes at birth; only 200,000 left by puberty (rest have degenerated).  Over a woman’s reproductive lifetime, only 450 eggs complete oogenesis.'
to be honest i kind of copy paste from my slide, because i opened the slide at 11 o'clock, and my eyes wont cooperate with me... so yeah sorry.
thats all for TONIGHT.

I dont have any suitable title in mind

in female menstruation cycle, there are 4 cycles. first is proliferase cycle, second is ovulation cycle, third is secretory cycle, the last is menstrual cycle. in secretory cycle, there are 2 ways, one is when you get pregnant, two is when you dont get pregnant. if you dont get pregnant then you will go straight to menstrual cycle, well, if you do, then i must say you'll get a growing tummy.... hehehehe. these 4 cycles, will occur 2 days after you finished your period... okay, thats all folks... if i made a mistake please feel free to write a comment, and if you want further information just type it right away, maybe my friends or me will answer it. i hope this useful for ya... sorry for the title... hahahahaha!!!

WHY DO LEAVES HAVE GREEN COLOR?

When someone asked me this, my first opinion was, "it is genetic" ..

well, I was wrong. The leaves have pigments, there are chlorophyll a and b , carotenoids, and other accessory pigments. The UV light from the sun have many different waves. Chlorophyll a and b absorb the blue-violet waves and the carotenoids absorb the red-orange waves. And because the energy of the green waves cannot be absorbed, the leaves reflect the green color and that's why leaves are green!

Hi there ...
this is my first time writing on this blog ..hmm.. since this is my really first time , i'll introduced myself first.. It start with G which stands for gita ..i'm a physics haters, but i'm a biology lovers . well, i don't really know wad to write for today but maybe i'll share my experience today with all of u.
today is the first bio unit test abt cellular respiration & photosynthesis and i'm stressed out.. why ??? b'coz unfortunately i left my book in my locker last night. i thought before i went home, i put all my things inside my bag but when i opened my bag at home, there's no biology handout and i'm starting to panic.. but then, i decided to study from the internet... since bio is the first period of today's lesson, i came to school earlier so i can read my handout before the test... actually the test isn't that hard but a bit complicated..and hopefully the result isn't disappointing..

hmm, maybe that's all for today and wait for ronnie to post something interesting !!!

First

Hello everyone!
Welcome to our weekly biology journal!

This blog is maintained by 4 science students; Ronnie, Friska, Gita and Lady. We are now sitting in grade 12 and currently studying at Binus International School Serpong.

Actually, this is a biology project given by our bio teacher; Ms. Tya. I'm very pleased with this particular project, because I really liked the world of blogging and writing. Besides, there are many benefits that we can take from this task :)
I also want to address this blog to everyone in the world, especially for biology lovers and high school students.

On the blog we've made, we will share stories about our biology lessons that we follow and also the experiments that we will do this during the class.
We hope that this can be a source of inspiration and reference.

Thank you!
